AELP welcomes PeoplePlus as new Patron member

The Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) has today welcomed PeoplePlus as the newest organisation to join its Patron scheme, strengthening collaboration across the skills, employment and social value landscape.

PeoplePlus joins AELP at a time of significant change across the skills system, bringing a strong track record in employability, social value and supporting people into sustainable work. Having previously delivered skills and apprenticeship provision, the organisation has, in recent years, developed a growing focus on connecting employers, providers and communities to deliver wider social impact. They are also a leading provider of prisoner education.

Through AELP’s Patron membership, PeoplePlus will work closely with the AELP team and its members to help simplify what can often feel like a complex and fragmented system, particularly as devolution continues to reshape how skills are commissioned and delivered across England.

Ben Rowland, CEO of AELP, said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome PeoplePlus as a Patron member of AELP. Their experience across employability, social value and workforce development brings an important perspective at a time when the system is evolving quickly. Strong partnerships between employers and providers have never been more important. PeoplePlus’ focus on connecting these parts of the system, and helping employers navigate increasing complexity, aligns closely with the priorities we’re hearing from our members.”

Laura Savage, Partner Services and Social Value Solutions Director, at PeoplePlus said:

“PeoplePlus is incredibly proud to join AELP as a Patron member. Having previously been a skills and apprenticeship provider, over the past four to five years we have become deeply embedded in the social value agenda.

"We see a significant opportunity to support the collaboration of training providers and employers, who now have mandatory social value commitments, and to better connect education and training with employer need. As devolution accelerates, the system can feel complex and fragmented, creating real challenges for employers seeking consistency across regions.

"Through our patronage with AELP, PeoplePlus is excited to work collaboratively across the sector to simplify access, act as a gateway between employers and providers, and ultimately help more people move into work and progress sustainably in their careers.”
