Overview
On 15 July 2026, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) published Version 2 of the 2026/27 Apprenticeship Funding Rules, introducing updates to employer co-investment arrangements alongside a range of policy clarifications and operational changes for providers and employers.
Subsequently, following further announcements yesterday (28th July) regarding the new bursary available to some apprentices, whose families are in receipt of Universal Credit, and fully funded apprenticeships for under 25s, we are now expecting Version 3 to be published imminently.
This practical webinar is perfectly timed to help apprenticeship providers (members and non-members) to understand all of the key changes, assess the impact on delivery, and prepare for implementation for the new academic year.
The session will cover key compliance, evidence and audit considerations arising from the updated rules along with the most significant changes, and how they differ from the previous versions.

Tom Glover is a Senior Consultant with TEG Consulting Limited and has over twenty years’ experience in the education sector. Alongside running the day to day business operations for TEG Consulting Limited, Tom is highly experienced in all aspects of DfE funding rules compliance, financial assurance (audit) and data reporting.
After graduating with a BSc honours degree, Tom worked within financial services before moving into the education sector. Previously Tom has worked as an Administration and Finance Manager at an independent training provider, as a Contract Manager with the Learning and Skills Council for Essex and was with his previous employer SRF Consultancy Ltd for over 10 years. Tom has successfully supported both large and small training providers across England in developing robust and compliant systems and processes to meet their contractual obligations.
