Ofsted Peer Inspections (OPIs)
An overview of OPIs and how ITPS can get involved
Overview
Following recent feedback from providers, one of the challenges during inspection has been the currency of some inspection teams when it comes to work-based skills provision. To shift the dial on this, there is a need for providers to get involved and be part of the solution with providers having someone in their team who gets trained by Ofsted and is then part of inspections which adds huge value.
Ofsted has paused recruitment of additional Ofsted Inspectors (OIs), and AELP have been in discussions with the Inspectorate about the new Ofsted Peer Inspection (OPIs) pilots. There are several OPI pilot clusters now active, and we’ve been discussing further opportunities specifically for ITPs nationally on apprenticeships and also on 16-19. There is also potential in a further phase for adult provision.
This online workshop will give those interested in OPIs an opportunity to find out more about the pilots, and ask questions and understand more about the EOI process that Ofsted will ask providers to complete if they wish to be considered. It will also provide more clarification on the commitment and responsibilities of being part of an OPI cluster.
*PLEASE NOTE, THERE IS A LIMITED NUMBER OF SPACES AVAILABLE ON THIS WEBINAR - REGISTRATIONS WILL CLOSE ONCE AT FULL CAPACITY*
