Chaired by Kelley O’Donovan FCA (Managing Director – Essex Region, First Intuition Chelmsford), this CoP brings together inspection nominees, shadow nominees and quality leaders to explore Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework, regulatory updates, and inspection practice. Members share effective approaches, examine inspection themes, and support continuous improvement. Meetings are held online twice per year.
I am Kelley O’Donovan, Managing Director (Essex) at First Intuition, where I also lead on quality and compliance, including overseeing our Ofsted inspections. With over 20 years of experience in further education, I have worked across a range of programmes and initiatives, supporting learners, employers, and colleagues to achieve excellence. Since the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in 2017, I have been closely involved in shaping apprenticeship delivery in the accountancy sector, ensuring that provision meets both regulatory requirements and the needs of learners and employers.
I am delighted to Chair the AELP Inspection Communities of Practice, bringing together providers to share experiences and strengthen our collective approach to inspection readiness.
I am passionate about collaboration and believe that, as we navigate ongoing external regulatory changes in the skills and further education landscape, it is vital that we support one another. I am confident that the newly formed Inspection Community of Practice will deliver this to members. By working together, we can ensure clarity, consistency, and above all, the delivery of outstanding education and training opportunities that empower learners to succeed.
