Overview
The government has announced plans to introduce apprenticeship units as part of wider reforms to apprenticeships and skills policy. These changes are intended to create greater flexibility in how training is structured and delivered, but they also raise a number of important questions for providers and employers.
For many organisations across the sector, apprenticeship units represent a significant shift in how programmes could be designed, funded and delivered in future.
This AELP Spotlight Live webinar will provide members with an early briefing on apprenticeship units and the wider policy context behind them. AELP's Chief Executive Ben Rowland will outline what we know so far about the reforms, how they fit alongside the government’s focus on streamlining apprenticeships and prioritising opportunities for young people, and what providers should be preparing for as further detail emerges.
The session will also explore the practical implications for the sector, including how apprenticeship units might affect programme design, employer engagement and delivery models. This session will also give attendees the opportunity to ask questions and hear AELP’s latest analysis of the policy direction.
