Land-based Industries Sector Forum 

 

 

 

Chaired by Belinda Turner (Chief Executive Officer, Stubbing Court Training Ltd.), this forum covers agricultural, environmental and rural workforce needs. It also explores new trends, seasonal issues and topical changes affecting land-based provision.



Chief Executive of Stubbing Court Training Ltd. since 2001, involved in all aspects of provision. Stubbing Court Training Ltd. was established in 1982 and organises Apprenticeships for people working in the horse industry, with employers including riding schools, livery yards and competition yards up to international level.

Ofsted inspections: awarded ‘Outstanding’ for all aspects of provision for four consecutive inspections.

Belinda Turner has been involved in a wide variety of projects and consultancy work over many years to improve the quality of Apprenticeships, including the development and publication of innovative materials to support effective employer involvement in Apprenticeships in the workplace. She is also involved in the organisation of events including Chatsworth International Horse Trials, European Eventing Championships and Beijing Olympic Games.

Education: University of Durham, English.

I am absolutely committed to raising the profile and recognition of the land based industry in terms of its value to the well being and skills of apprentices, the vital role played in preserving and improving the environment, and the significance of self sufficiency in food to the economy
