Overview

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the digital world at an unprecedented pace — and with it, the risks facing children, young people and vulnerable adults are evolving faster than ever. From AI-generated fake images and videos to nudification apps, online blackmail and image misuse, safeguarding professionals are now required to navigate complex, emerging threats that didn’t exist just a few years ago.

This essential session equips delegates with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools needed to safeguard learners effectively in the age of AI. Designed for educators, safeguarding leads and professionals working with children and vulnerable adults, the session breaks down complex AI-related risks into clear, real-world scenarios you can recognise and respond to.

Delegates will gain a deeper understanding of how AI can be misused to exploit, coerce or harm — and, crucially, how to identify early warning signs, intervene appropriately and promote safe, ethical and responsible use of technology. You’ll leave feeling informed, empowered and ready to take proactive action to protect those in your care.
