AELP expands its legal support services for apprenticeship providers

AELP has teamed up with leading national law firm, VWV, to expand the legal support services available to its members who are engaging with employers and other partner organisations to deliver apprenticeships.

The original offer, which was tied in with the apprenticeship levy’s introduction in April 2017, gave members free and exclusive access to template legal contracts for use with levy-funded and non-levy funded employers.

Template contracts for agreements with subcontractors and end point assessment organisations followed and now AELP members can benefit from an insurance backed legal service from VWV as follows:

  1. A basic service of reviewing a member's contract with an employer without any changes to the model document for a fixed fee of £500 plus VAT
  2. A bespoke service for members who want advice about more complex arrangements at competitive rates and prices according to the work required.

In addition to the above, VWV offers a 15 minute free initial call.  This gives a member access to a wider breadth of legal advice that it would expect from a national law firm.

VWV is a national, award-winning commercial law firm and leading sector specialists.   The firm provides a full range of legal services to businesses, both large and small, with a focus on teamwork, client commitment and delivering real value-added solutions.

AELP chief operating officer Jane Hickie said:

‘AELP’s membership has expanded significantly over the last 12 months and we know that our level of responsiveness to the apprenticeship reforms is a major reason for the growth.  The latest available upgrade on our legal support offer with our Corporate Patron, VWV, is excellent value for money for members of all sizes who wish to take full advantage of the reforms without being burdened by unnecessary cost.’

The relevant document access and VWV contact details are available to full AELP members here.
