As you may be aware, the government is introducing a new type of qualification for 16-19 year olds in England called T levels. Proposals being consulted on at the moment include a 45 to 60 day work placement. AELP are joining forces with City and Guilds to survey employers and providers about what the new T level work placements should look like and how they could work in practice.

At this stage in the research project, we would welcome your help in reaching as many employers as possible to invite to complete a short questionnaire. Results will inform policy discussions about what the new T level work placements should be like and how they could work in practice. Please get in touch with Cath Gladding, AELP Research Manager ([email protected]), if you are willing to distribute an email letter to employers with whom you work (not just those currently taking work placement students or 16-19 year olds) asking them to complete a short questionnaire on work placements.
