Work in Progress, the alternative employment, health and skills conference, is back again for 2017. Sponsored by PeoplePlus, the conference will take place at Birmingham Town Hall on the 25 April.
The timing of Work in Progress 2017 couldn’t be any more pertinent. 'Article 50' should have been triggered, Philip Hammond will have delivered his first Budget as Chancellor, Work & Health Programme commissioning will be complete, and we will be days away from the roll out of the new Apprenticeship Levy.
Work in Progress 2017 will once again provide a unique combination of alternative speakers, roundtable discussions, lively panel sessions, skills demonstrations, and interactive surveys. As ever, you as the delegate are at the heart of the programme.
WIP2017 are pleased to confirm Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson as the headline speaker.
Tanni is one of Britain’s greatest Paralympic athletes, having competed in five Paralympic Games, winning 11 Gold Medals. More latterly, as a crossbench peer with a focus on disability, health, welfare and youth development, she has made significant contributions to debates on welfare reform. With the integration of health and employment services being a key priority, Tanni will provide an insightful perspective.
