Now in its third year, and in partnership with the Department for Education, FE Week Annual Apprenticeship Conference (AAC) has quickly become recognised as the premier professional apprenticeship conference, providing policy and practical updates for senior staff from training providers, colleges, universities, employers and assessment organisations with business critical news and information. Skills and apprenticeships minister, Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP, confirmed as one of the first keynote speakers for AAC 2017.
Ahead of the launch of the #apprenticeship levy in April, and the new ‘upper-limit’ funding methodology kicking in from 1 May, there is no better time for AELP members and providers to benefit from attendance; 40% discount available for AELP members to attend FE Week Annual Apprenticeship Conference 2017. This year’s event is set to be the most important yet, with over 1200 attendees anticipated. On the eve of the apprenticeship levy and other key apprenticeship reforms, delegates will benefit from a comprehensive selection (over 70) of in-depth and practical workshops from the DfE, Ofsted, NAS, Nick Linford, AELP CEO Mark Dawe and many more.
Alongside the Minister’s first major apprenticeship speech since taking office in June 2016, keynote speeches are expected from senior figures at DfE, Ofsted, IfA, AELP, AoC and influential and inspiring providers, employers and of course apprentices. BBC's Kirsty Wark will be returning as conference chair for AAC 2017. You might recall that Kirsty was chair of the first AAC in March 2015. Kirsty is one of Britain's most highly regarded and versatile presenters and is a regular presenter of BBC2's Newsnight. Kirsty will also be this year’s after-dinner speaker at the gala dinner.
Over the coming few weeks, AELP will keep members and organisations updated with the latest speaker and agenda announcements in Countdown. We’re delighted, to once again be a main strategic partner of the AAC 2017. As a strategic partner, across the 3 days event AELP will be holding eight workshops and working with FE Week to ensure content meets the needs of our members. AELP have secured an exclusive 40% reduction on full price tickets for our members.
