We are launching a Special Interest Group (SIG) focusing on Devolution, and we would love to invite you to be part of it!
At the first meeting, scheduled for 07 April, we will be outlining AELP's strategic devolution direction and unveiling some of our recent planning work to support members with navigating the increasingly complex landscape of devolution. We'd also welcome members' feedback as to topics for future meetings.
Group Introduction
The Devolution Special Interest Group is aimed at senior decision-makers within AELP member organisations who are committed to strengthening skills development in a devolved governance system. It will focus on promoting best practice within devolved systems, highlight challenges, and advocate for policy and funding mechanisms that support learners and promote growth within our economy.
Wherever your organisation and region is on their devolution journey, it is hoped that the Devolution SIG will be able to support you.
Facilitated by: Helen Johns (AELP)
Helen says, "I have been involved in the gradual development of AELP's devolution journey over the last two years and am really excited to be supporting the formation of our new Devolution SIG to enable AELP to shift the dial on our support and work within this area. Devolution is here to stay, and I want AELP to be able to help our members to navigate, influence and advocate for the skills sector for all members operating within our increasingly devolved environment".
