Harminder has a broad range of experience in the private and public sectors. She joined the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) in December 2018 as the Devolution Policy and Implementation Director. Her immediate focus has been on devolution of the Adult Education Budget across England, working closely with the Mayoral Combined Authorities and the Greater London Authority ensuring that AELP ‘s 900+ members are fully represented across all activities. Prior to this, Harminder spent 10 years at the Education and Skills Funding Agency gaining experience of provider management and heading up business and stakeholder engagement in London for the National Apprenticeship Service. Following this, Harminder spent two years at The Open University to accelerate national business engagement for higher and degree apprenticeships. Before entering the world of education and skills, Harminder spent 20 years in a range of corporate functions at British Airways and Barclays.
