Paul Cooper - AELP Board Member

Paul operates as a key member of the GP Strategies Training Limited senior management team and has over 20 years extensive experience within the skills and education sector. Paul also holds a position on the GPSTL Board of Governance.

Paul has supported and headed a wide range of strategic development projects within GP Strategies with overarching responsibilities ranging from the micro; data, funding policy, procedures; to the macro; wider government post-16 skills/education policy/strategy, influencing strategic company decision-making and direction.

Paul’s wide ranging experience within the skills sector has seen him lead and manage the developments and implementation of sector specific employer engagement initiatives, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Study Programme, Foundation Learning, Entry to Employment, and Train to Gain programmes to name but a few.

Paul’s previous roles encompassed 15 years employment in retail management culminating in the leadership of ‘flag ship’ stores and project managing innovative retail environment concepts.
