LSIS Accounts provide a virtual credit for your organisation to use to pay for a range of conferences and seminars provided by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS). Typical prices for LSIS events are £150 for one-day conferences and £75 for half-day seminars per person. However, events can be attended at no cost to your organisation by using the credit in your LSIS Account.
In March, a letter from Dr David Collins was sent to principals and chief executives of some 1,800 providers who were directly funded by the former Learning and Skills Council (LSC) inviting them to register for an LSIS Account. Depending on the level of LSC funding, providers have been given between £1,000 and £7,500-worth of virtual credit to spend on LSIS conferences and events.
A number of learning and skills sector providers are already taking advantage of new LSIS Accounts and are enrolling on LSIS events and courses. If you have not registered for an LSIS Account, please do so today so that your staff can ‘pay’ for LSIS events using the virtual credit within your LSIS Account.
