Application form now available for Apprenticeship Application Support Fund (AASF)

Last updated: 3 Sep 2012

The application form for the new Apprenticeship Application Support Fund (AASF) is now available to download from the AASF webpage: http://www.aelp.org.uk/topics/details/aasf/

The new £450,000 fund, which is being managed by AELP on behalf of the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), aims to support young people who have struggled to get onto an apprenticeship through the government’s Apprenticeship Vacancy service.

Training organisations are being invited to bid to run projects around the country designed to increase the quality and success rate of applications for apprenticeship vacancies made by young people between the ages of 16 and 20.Of most interest will be projects that impact directly on learners and employers utilising the AV system, although the AASF will also consider projects that incidentally affect wider apprenticeship applications. Projects in priority occupational areas to engage hard to reach and disengaged groups of learners and new employer links will also be of particular interest.

To find out more, and to access the latest prospectus, visit the AASF webpage, where you will also be able to find a newly published Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document which will be updated on a regular basis.

The deadline for receipt of completed bids is midday, October 1st, 2012. Enquiries regarding the AASF should be directed to aasf@aelp.org.uk.
