Against the backdrop of austere public spending restraints, new coalition policies, a culture of more for less, the reforms and state of change taking place in the skills and employability sectors; ALP is re-introducing its popular autumn national conference ‘This Year’s In Tray’ as there is a need to keep all learning providers informed about the operational issues facing us in this brave new world during the coming year.
This one day national event will examine a spectrum of issues confronting all learning providers during the coming year in terms of funding squeeze, workforce demand, learner responsiveness, data compliance, course labelling, qualification reforms, new commissioning arrangements and the integration of the skills and employment agendas with potential rationalisation of support agencies.
The coming year will be a challenging one for all learning providers, ‘This Years In Tray’ is where delegates will be able to make sense of the pressing issues of the coming year.
