ALP have held National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) - Provider Briefing Sessions this month. The aim of these Provider Briefings was to communicate and ensure all Members and Work based Learning Providers have a full understanding of the developing systems, updates on a number of areas from the NAS project team including the Vacancy Matching Service (VMS) updates, policy developments including marketing/communications activity. There was a senior LSC representative from the NAS project team in attendance at each session (i.e. one of David Way, Madeleine Durie, Helen France and Paula Chapman), and was a good opportunity for all Members to contribute to the development of the NAS.
The briefing session addressed the following areas:
• Overview - Vision for NAS
• VMS
• Field Force
• Policy developments – GTAs, Public Sector, Expanding Apps, Blueprint
• Marketing and communications – Apprenticeship Week
• Input from Providers and what do they want from NAS?
There has been four half day briefings session in total (see below), organised by ALP in collaboration with NAS project staff.
